Newsletter ISACA Global 10/2020

Dear Members,

Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an important time to recognize the latest cybersecurity challenges and opportunities—particularly as the global pandemic has driven even more digital activity. It is also a good opportunity to launch or advance cybersecurity careers, “upskill” cybersecurity teams, and evaluate new enterprise security resources. ISACA Global is providing members with new guidance, resources, events, discounts, and enterprise tools as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Keep reading to see many of the offerings below.

One standout in security guidance is Managing Security Impacts in a Multicloud Environment. This guide helps enterprises navigate the benefits and security challenges of using several cloud providers and offers a process for creating a related enterprise security strategy.

  • NYU Tandon School of Engineering: ISACA Global partnered with the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter and New York University Tandon School of Engineering. ISACA is offering the CSX Cybersecurity Practitioner (CSX-P) certification and one-year ISACA student membership at a discounted price to NYU Tandon students, and NYU Tandon is extending a 75% scholarship to all ISACA members who are accepted into the NYU Cyber Fellows Program. Additionally, the partnership will offer 15% off tuition to all other NYU Tandon online or on-campus graduate degree programs. Learn more here.
  • Cloud Security Alliance: ISACA and CSA recently announced a strategic partnership to collaborate closely on critical initiatives to transform the auditing and assurance of cloud computing, including bringing the Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK) to market as a joint venture.

  • Election Security 2020 Survey: New research shows confidence in the upcoming US election is low, but education and training will go a long way in building trust.
  • State of Cybersecurity 2020 Survey, Part 1 and 2: This annual study found insights into cybersecurity workforce and resources, threat landscape, and security practices.
  • COVID-19 Study: This research explored the impact COVID-19 has had on organizations, including heightened security concerns and threats companies are facing.

  • Lessons from Election Security Challenges: This archived, 60-minute panel discussion took place on 1 October and explored lessons around data analytics, governance, audit, security, and information management regarding election security.
  • The Top 3 Areas Where Today’s CISOs Need to Focus: During this webinar at 4:00 PM (UTC) / 12:00 PM (EDT) on 8 October, 2020, ServiceNow Advisory CISO James Blake will discuss how CISOs can keep their businesses safe while being flexible to support the new reality.
